Blue Ox Promotes Rick Kauer to Director of Training
Blue Ox announced the promotion of Rick Kauer to director of training, in recognition of his 26 years of dedicated service to the RV industry and his exceptional contributions to dealer education, customer support and product development.

Kauer oversees all training activities at Blue Ox, including dealer training, internal education, new-employee onboarding, virtual sessions, tow-bar maintenance and RV Technical Institute (RVTI) Level 1, 2 and 3 courses. Besides leading these initiatives, he remains vital to new product development and enhancement projects, Blue Ox said. He manages a team of four trainers and acts as a key resource for fitment and application expertise across the company. His deep knowledge of Blue Ox’s steel products and electrical systems is essential to the organization’s success. Known as a patient leader and trusted advisor within his team, Kauer consistently prioritizes others’ best interests. An active supporter of the RV industry, he makes a significant impact through his work with RVTI, delivering on-site training across the U.S. and Canada, sharing expertise beyond Blue Ox products, and educating dealers and technicians nationwide.
“Rick embodies Blue Ox’s values and vision,” said Mike Hesse, CEO of Blue Ox. “With over 26 years in the RV sector, he has earned a reputation for prioritizing the company and its partners, and his product knowledge is unparalleled.”
“Rick is an industry towing expert with a wealth of experience,” said Alex Walker, vice president of sales and customer service at Blue Ox. “He is dedicated to growing our dealer and customer relationships and exemplifies our core value of relentless customer support every day.” Kauer’s new role is effective immediately.
