Brown & Brown Contributes to RV Learning Center
Brown & Brown Insurance has made its 2024 contribution of $26,666 in support of the Mike Molino RV Learning Center. The pledge fulfills Brown & Brown’s lifetime pledge of $200,000, and Brown & Brown maintains its position in the top category for donors, Major Gifts.
This year’s pledge recognizes Fran Roberts, who founded Long View RV in 1959 in Greenfield, Massachusetts, and passed away in 2021.
“The RV Learning Center continues to prove its incredible value as a source of training and education for the nation’s dealership fixed-ops personnel, and we consider our contributions to be a good investment in the future of the industry,” said Michael Neal, president of Brown & Brown Dealer Services. “We are pleased to make this pledge in honor of the late Fran Roberts, who was a great dealer and businessman.”
Long View moved to a five-acre site in Northampton, Massachusetts, in 1984. In 1993, it acquired a prime location in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, and the company’s name was changed to Long View RV Superstores. The Connecticut location has been headed by son Frank, an RVDA board member who has more than 30 years in the RV business.
Fixed‐ops professionals can earn certification as parts managers, parts specialists, service writers/advisors, service managers and warranty administrators through the RV Learning Center. In addition to certification, the RV Learning Center provides resources for fixed operations professionals, including the RV Service Writer/Advisor Online Course and the RV Fixed Operations Today website.
