CURT has launched a Bluetooth-enabled mobile brake control, the Echo (No. 51180). The portable, plug-and-play device links to the driver’s smartphone to control and monitor all trailer brake activity.
“We continue to drive innovation in the towing industry. Echo is one example of how CURT is meeting the technological needs of today’s consumers,” said Travis Machler, director of marketing.
With the downloadable Smart Control app for Apple or Android phones, the Echo monitors the trailer brakes, allows for manual control and sends status updates.
The Echo is also designed to be highly portable for use with multiple vehicles and trailers. It plugs in between the 7-way RV blade connectors of the vehicle and trailer. The app is able to store multiple user and trailer profiles, and the device itself is constructed for long-lasting weather resistance.
