Dates Set for RVSEF Technical Education & Safety Conference

The next RVSEF RV Technical Education & Safety Conference is set for Sept. 29 through Oct. 3 in Elizabethtown, Ky.

“The RVSEF RV Technical Education & Safety Conference has been called a RV academy, RV school, and a college for RVers, but the best description would be that it is a pure learning opportunity for the RV enthusiast, new or potentially new RV owner, and seasoned RV veteran, who want to know more about everything RV,” said Walter Cannon, RV Safety & Education Foundation (RVSEF) executive director. “Our conference is focused solely on education with a personal touch, so I guess any of those titles would work.

“Our curriculum covers technical topics, safety topics and lifestyle topics. For an additional fee, hands-on driving is also offered before and after the conference, for those who own their own RV, and for those who don’t own yet, we have a couple units made available to us through Skaggs RV—keep in mind we are using what Skaggs has available at the time.”

New for 2019, RVSEF has added a Red Cross certificate CPR class. Seats are limited.

“We have been fortunate to be able to draw the caliber of instructors with their technical training expertise sharing years of accumulated education, knowledge and experience with our attendees,” Cannon said. “We will once again have Bruce Hopkins and Shannon Lee from RVIA and Dave Mihalick, director of vehicle safety & regulator compliance for Thor Industries as guest speakers. So join us for the best RV educational experience available, you will be glad you did.” Enrollment is limited to 200 attendees, 25 dry camping spaces, and 20 hands-on driving classes on a first come first served basis.
