Economist to Examine Role of Politics in RV Market at RVDA Con/Expo

John Augustine of Huntington National Bank will provide a current and future look at the political landscape and how it relates to the strength of the RV industry at the RV Dealers Convention/Expo Nov. 6-10.

In a workshop in the dealer/GM track from 1:30-2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 7, at Paris Las Vegas Augustine will discuss “Getting Back to Normalization,” examining how U.S. politics affects the industry as the country enters what will likely be a volatile national election cycle.

During the workshop, attendees will learn:

  • Finance, inventory and planning concepts for each dealer
  • Market trends
  • Policy trends that affect the economy and markets
  • Trends affecting consumer durable-good spending
  • U.S. economic trends and areas to watch

Augustine is chief investment officer for Huntington National Bank and has 30 years’ experience as an investment manager, investment strategist and economic strategist for various financial institutions.
