Family RV Group Celebrates 50 Years

Family RV Group is celebrating its 50th year in the RV business with a series of promotions in the back half of the year.

Colerain RV was founded by Charles Jung in 1968 in a northwest suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. From Day One, the mission was to “treat everyone like family,” realizing it would be the key to success and distinguish Colerain RV from the competition, the company said.

Colerain RV expanded its business model with acquisitions in Dayton, Ohio, (2007), Indianapolis (2011), and Columbus, Ohio (2013). In 2016, with the help of investment firm Kidd & Co., Northside Family RV of Lexington, Ky., was acquired and the Family RV Group was formed.

In 2018, Family RV continued expansion with the acquisition of Dunlap Family RV, a four RV dealership network from Tennessee.

“Our acquisitions are examples of our commitment to expand our reach and bring our quality, customer-first mindset to more RV-buying customers,” said Wade Stepp, president of Family RV. “We will continue to seek and acquire RV dealerships with strong brand recognition, solid operations and high customer loyalty so we can continue in the RV business for another 50 years.”

All nine dealerships celebrated a “Golden Anniversary – Gold Tag” sale in July with special pricing on a wide range of RVs. Additional customer appreciation promotions are scheduled in the fall with discounted pricing, a special 50th anniversary commemorative gift package for all RV purchasers, and a variety of cookouts, radio remotes, and contests.

Family RV is one of the Midwest’s largest RV retail networks with nine dealerships covering five states.
