Indiana Trailer Salesman Admits to More Than $900K in Thefts

The Elkhart (Ind.) Truth reports about a story involving theft that has finally come to a conclusion after a multi-year investigation.

A former trailer salesman has admitted to stealing more than $900,000 from the company over five years.

Scott Hagedorn, 56, is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to theft as a Level 5 felony. His plea agreement calls for up to one year in the Indiana Department of Corrections  followed by two years on probation.

He also agreed to pay $921,928 in restitution to the victim. Hagedorn was accused of pocketing sale proceeds from John’s Trailer Sales of Middlebury between 2015 and 2019.

His sentencing is set for Jan. 18 in Elkhart County Superior Court 2.
