Indiana’s unemployment rate stood at 3.3 percent for June and remains lower than the national rate of 4 percent, according to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
With the exception of one month, in October 2014, when it was equal to the U.S. rate, Indiana’s unemployment rate has been below the U.S. rate for more than four years.

The seasonally adjusted rate in the state one year ago was 3.5 percent.
In the Elkhart-Goshen Metropolitan Statistical Area, the unemployment rate in June was 2.7 percent, the state said Monday, up from 2.6 percent compared to one year ago.
Elkhart County’s rate of 2.7 percent was tied with Dubois County and just above neighboring LaGrange County, which was at 2.6 percent – the lowest among the state’s 92 counties.
