InterMotive Vehicle Controls Celebrates 30th Anniversary
InterMotive Vehicle Controls, a leading manufacturer of electronic control systems, recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of innovation in vehicle technology designed to enhance safety, performance and functionality.
Founded in 1996 by Greg and Linda Schafer, InterMotive has grown into a trusted provider of advanced vehicle control solutions serving a variety of markets, including law enforcement, emergency response, transportation and work trucks.
“Celebrating 30 years is a significant milestone for InterMotive and a testament to the vision the Schafers had when they started the company,” said Carl Wacker, president of InterMotive. “We listen to our customers, understand the challenges they face and create practical solutions that help their vehicles work safer, smarter and more efficiently.”
Throughout its history, the company has engineered advanced control systems to meet a diverse range of vehicle and fleet operational needs, including idle management, theft prevention, safety interlocks, CAN network integration, driver and passenger safety, and other specialized vehicle functions.
Three decades after its founding, InterMotive remains focused on the same principle that helped build the company: identifying real-world vehicle concerns and developing intelligent solutions to address them.
“As we recognize where InterMotive has been, we’re also looking ahead to what’s next,” Wacker said. “Vehicle technology continues to change, creating opportunities for us to evolve and find new ways to optimize the vehicles our customers rely on every day.”
