Jaguars’ QB Hitting the Road in an RV
Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew II is doing it in style, with his own RV. And he wants help from the public.
This story by Garry Smits originally appeared in The Florida Times-Union.
Minshew posted a video on Instagram Monday in which he announced his Florida-to-California road trip on his new RV, as a way of “re-centering myself the only way I know how” after a long rookie season.
The video camera then pans out to show Minshew in a tropical shirt and jorts, in front of a THOR Ace. Minshew said his plans are simple: “hopping in my new RV and touring this great country.”
His quest is hash-tagged #MilesWithMinshew.
Minshew asks fans to send him messages of “places to see, anything for free, places to eat and people to meet.”
Minshew finished his rookie season 10 days ago by leading the Jaguars to a 38-20 victory over Indianapolis. He finished by leading all NFL rookie quarterbacks in most passing categories, and more importantly, the most victories with six.
Minshew closed his video by saying, “Hopefully I see you out there on the road. In the meantime, keep it rolling.”
