Jellystone Workshop Precedes LSI Symposium
Leisure Systems has scheduled a Prospective Owners Workshop on Sunday, Nov. 4, in Covington, Ky., to give aspiring Jellystone Park owners the opportunity to also attend LSI’s annual Symposium, which starts Monday, Nov. 5.
“We selected this specific date and location because it immediately precedes our 2018 Symposium, which provides prospective franchisees with an opportunity to gather in-depth information while also meeting and networking with Jellystone Park operators across North America,” said Jim Westover, LSI’s vice resident of product development and sales.
The Nov. 3 workshop will cover key topics of interest to prospective Jellystone Park franchisees such as:
- An overview of the hospitality industry
- Discussion of the various types of campgrounds
- The Jellystone Park difference
- Advice from current Jellystone Park franchisees
- Introduction to the Jellystone Park conversion process for new and existing campgrounds
- Finance and banking information from Business Finance Depot
- Question-and-answer sessions
“This workshop is a unique opportunity for current and aspiring campground operators to explore the feasibility of owning and operating a campground that’s affiliated with the Jellystone Park franchise network,” Westover said, adding, “We design these workshops to help prospective park operators determine if owning and operating a Jellystone Park is the right fit for them.”
The workshop was previously scheduled to take place in North Carolina in September, but was rescheduled due to Hurricane Florence.
Milford, Ohio-based Leisure Systems franchises 84 Jellystone Park campgrounds with more than 18,000 campsites and vacation rentals across the U.S. and Canada.
Several instructors at the workshop are past campground owners and have taught classes at industry conventions and ARVC’s National School of RV Park and Campground Management. They will share industry insights and provide tools for prospective owners to make an educated purchase decision. Finance and insurance company representatives will also be available to provide information about their requirements and processes.
The cost of the Prospective Owners Workshop is $350 per couple and includes two nights (Nov. 03 and 4) at the Embassy Suites in Covington as well as dinner on Nov. 4. The hotel rate for workshop attendees who choose to extend their stay and attend the Symposium is $146 per night.
