The Florida and Alabama RV Park and Campground Association has presented a Best Park Award to Southern Aire RV Resort, located in Thonotonassa, Florida, the association announced in a recent press release.
Southern Aire RV Resort is a 432-site resort with a heated pool and spa, a large lake, a dog park and an inviting common area. Two cornhole pads are also being installed and karaoke is scheduled every other weekend.
“I don’t have all the amenities that some have. But what I can offer is peace, quiet, some of the friendliest people you’re ever going to meet and some of the best customer service,” said Linda Stith, who has been managing the park for the Wilder RV Resorts company for the past four years.
“If you come in, I guarantee you are going to feel like family,” Stith said.
Winners of the association’s “Best Park Award” for 2026 were presented April 30 during the association’s annual Outdoor Hospitality Convention & Expo at the Rosen Shingle Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida.

Award recipients demonstrate excellence across their business, staff and guest interactions, as reflected in reviews and ratings, the association said. Winning parks are well maintained and provide quality facilities, amenities and guest services with a consistent record of guest satisfaction. In addition to operational excellence, honorees show ongoing efforts to improve and enhance the guest experience. Equally important, the recipients are active, engaged members of the Florida and Alabama RV Park and Campground Association — demonstrating loyalty, leadership and commitment to the association’s mission of advancing the Outdoor Hospitality Industry in Florida or Alabama.
