Motility Software Solutions, a provider of dealership management systems for the specialty vehicle market, has launched MotilityConnect, an open API platform code streamline dealer operations and drive innovations.
“Dealer’s utilize multiple third party software applications that would benefit from a data exchange with our class leading DMS platform,” said Brad Rogers, CEO. “By eliminating the barriers that exist in connecting the dealer’s data we believe we can drive significant operational improvements for our customers and partners.”
The MotilityConnect platform will use an open API (often referred to as a public API) architecture that provides developers with programmatic access to the proprietary Motility Dealership Management software application.
APIs are sets of requirements that govern how one application can communicate and interact with another and will be governed by a contract ensuring the safe handling and security of dealer data.
