The pre-owned RV market continues to outperform last year, with average RV and camper values 11% higher than they were a year ago, National Powersport Auctions (NPA) said in its August report. Sustained retail demand and the continued appeal of quality used inventory have helped keep values elevated, giving dealers strong opportunities to maintain healthy margins.
Inventory remains plentiful across motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels and campers, providing dealers with a broad selection to meet customer demand. Buyers continue to favor clean, well-maintained, retail-ready units, making inventory quality more important than ever, NPA said.
Seasonal Buying Opportunities Ahead
As the RV market moves from the peak summer selling season into fall, wholesale prices are beginning their normal seasonal adjustment. While both new and pre-owned values typically soften during the fall months, this shift creates an excellent opportunity for dealers to acquire quality pre-owned inventory at more favorable wholesale prices and position themselves for the next selling cycle.
