RV Dealers Raise Over $100K Through Compete for Kids Campaign

Fifty-two RV dealerships across the United States raised more than $100,000 during National Camping Month through the 2026 Compete for Kids campaign, hosted by Care Camps Foundation in partnership with the National RV Dealers Association (RVDA). The funds will help make camp experiences possible for children with cancer and their families across the United States and Canada, Care Camps Foundation said in a recent release.

Held throughout the month of June, Compete for Kids invited RV dealerships to engage their customers, employees and communities in support of Care Camps Foundation through a friendly fundraising competition. The campaign reflects the RV industry’s longstanding commitment to the outdoors, family and giving back while demonstrating how businesses across the industry can come together to make a meaningful difference.

Funds raised through the campaign help Care Camps Foundation provide consistent funding to over 120 pediatric oncology camps, serving more than 45,000 children and family members each year. These camps are safe, accessible and medically supervised, offering children with cancer the opportunity to experience joy, belonging, adventure and the healing power of the outdoors at no cost to families. Camp is a place where children can simply be kids, surrounded by others who understand their journey, while families find connection, encouragement, and community.

“RV dealers have always understood the importance of creating opportunities for families to connect through the outdoors,” said Phil Ingrassia, president of RVDA. “Compete for Kids is a meaningful extension of those values, bringing dealerships together across the country to support children with cancer and their families. We are proud to partner with Care Camps Foundation on a campaign that we believe will become an annual tradition for the RV industry.”

“The partnership between Care Camps Foundation and the RV industry is a natural fit because we share a belief in the power of the outdoors to change lives,” said Jenna Berneck, development director of Care Camps Foundation. “Our mission helps children and families navigating a cancer journey create meaningful memories in the outdoors and through Compete for Kids, RV dealerships are helping make those experiences possible. We are incredibly grateful to every participating dealership, every customer, every employee and every sponsor who helped raise more than $100,000.”

The campaign was made possible through the support of Lightspeed DMS, Grand Design, Priority One Financial Services, National Powersport Auctions and Battle Born.

The top three fundraising dealerships will be recognized during the RVDA Convention & Expo in Las Vegas on Nov. 11, when the official campaign rankings will be announced.

Following the success of the 2026 campaign, Care Camps Foundation and RVDA plan to continue Compete for Kids as an annual tradition, providing RV dealerships across North America with an opportunity each June to unite in support of children with cancer and their families.
