The RV Industry Association will hold a Driving Policy webinar on lauan plywood at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Nov. 20, as the industry awaits the decision from the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR).
RVIA’s Manager of Government and Political Affairs, Samantha Rocci, will discuss USTR’s decision whether or not to approve the industry’s petition for a Competitive Need Limitation Waiver.
Approval would reintroduce lauan plywood from Indonesia to the Generalized System of Preferences program and allow it to once again be eligible for duty-free import.
In 20 minutes, Rocci will walk attendees through the decision – expected later this month – and what it means for businesses. She will also provide updates on other trade issues affecting the RV industry.
