On Oct. 4, RV Industry Association Vice President of Government Affairs Jason Rano provided updates on the EV Charging Infrastructure Initiative, a strategy being endorsed by a national consortium of interested parties such as RVIA who support a national EV charging network.
In the two weeks since that presentation, a replay of which can be viewed here, the government affairs committee has been proactive in making its presence felt on this issue. A national lobbying firm with EV charging expertise has so far engaged 25 states’ departments of transportation and has been in contact with campground hosts, trade associations and individual companies educating them on the need for and benefits of pull-through charging stations.
The government affairs committee plans to continue this engagement as long as necessary, RVIA said.
