RVIA’s Bornemann  Discusses GAOA on ‘RVing in New England’

Chris Bornemann

On this week’s edition of “RVing in New England,” Chris Bornemann, RVIA’s director of government affairs, will join hosts John DiPietro and Bob Zagami to discuss the Great American Outdoors Act and its positive impact on RVers.

Bornemann led the RVIA’s push to get the legislation passed, which was a multi-year effort that involved working with other partners across the outdoor recreation industry. The new law, signed by President Trump earlier this month, will invest up to $9.5 billion of nontaxpayer funds to address infrastructure and campground and deferred maintenance needs within the National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and other federal agencies.

The new law will also fully fund the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) which will provide $900 million per year in investment in the public lands, parks, campgrounds, and trails that are the backbone of the outdoor recreation economy.

“I am really looking forward to joining John and Bob this week to talk about the passage of the most important piece of outdoor recreation legislation in six decades,” said Bornemann. “This new law will positively impact the millions of RVers across the country and provide more safe and enjoyable experiences on public lands for generations of RVers.”

RVing in New England is at 7 p.m. ET, 4 p.m. PT this Wednesday, Aug. 26. Click here to watch the program on Facebook.
