Austin, Texas-based RVshare has released results of what it calls its Holiday Travel Sentiment survey which found that at least half of those traveling to visit family in the upcoming holiday season either will be or are considering doing so in an RV.
Almost half of the respondents – 47 percent – plan on traveling to visit family, and more than two-thirds – 68 percent – said they will be traveling by car or RV.
Eighty percent of survey respondents said they will not be flying over the holidays, and 55 percent said they will consider renting an RV to get to their destination.
“This holiday season, RV rentals can be utilized for more than just leisure travel,” said RVshare CEO Jon Gray. “RV rentals offer people not only a mode of transportation to go home for the holidays, but also a place to stay in order to social distance.”
