Sun Outdoors Chesapeake Bay Joins the KOA Family
Blue Water Development announced that its property, previously Sun Outdoors Chesapeake Bay, has joined the Kampgrounds of America (KOA) network under the new name Tall Pines/Chesapeake Bay KOA, reinforcing its commitment to providing a premier outdoor hospitality experience to Virginia guests.
Tall Pines/Chesapeake Bay KOA is located minutes from Assateague and Chincoteague Island. This quiet resort is nestled between tall pines and the breathtaking waterfront of the Pocomoke Sound. The property offers spacious RV sites and premium amenities, Blue Water said in a release. Guests can enjoy a zero-entrance swimming pool, splash pad and private beach — all designed to enhance the outdoor experience. Guests can enjoy access to the KOA Rewards program, which includes up to 30% off for first-time guests at the property, rewards points toward future KOA stays, and more.
The addition of this property marks the eighth KOA location in Blue Water’s growing portfolio, reinforcing the company’s position as a leader in shaping the future of outdoor recreation and RV resort hospitality, Blue Water said.
“We are thrilled to continue growing our relationship with KOA while continuing to elevate the RV and outdoor travel experience our guests deserve,” said Rafael Correa, president and chief financial officer at Blue Water. “Bringing another of our scenic RV resorts into the KOA family reflects our shared commitment to continually raising the bar for guest experiences and hospitality standards.”
The transition became official April 1, with minimal disruption to current guests. Reservations will continue to be available online and by phone, ensuring a seamless experience for both new and returning visitors.
