Wichita, Kan.-based heating and appliance supplier Airxcel announced late Friday (Sept. 30) in a news release that it had acquired Elkhart-based components maker Dicor Corp. A purchase price was not disclosed.
Dicor, which has operated for 32 years, supplies a wide variety of products to the industry through its affiliate brands, which include Dicor Products, United Shade, Vixen Composites and Seal Design.
“The Dicor team is looking forward to joining the Airxcel family,” Dicor President Gregg Fore said in a news release distributed by Airxcel late Friday. “We have long been an admirer of Airxcel’s leading product initiatives and their culture of excellence. Being associated with Airxcel will allow each entity to benefit from the other’s key competencies and drive higher levels of customer satisfaction.”
Specifically, Dicor brands make RV roofing systems, wheel componentry, window shades, FRP, composite paneling, window sealing as well as a wide array of aftermarket care and repair products.
“The Airxcel management team has a deep level of respect for Dicor Corp., its products, heritage and dedication to customer service. We are pleased to welcome Dicor Corp. and its talented team into Airxcel,” Airxcel President and CEO Jeff Rutherford said.
The two companies did not provide specifics on how the two companies planned to integrate, moving forward, but Dicor CEO Gary Adamson referred to the deal as a “partnership”.
“The synergy created between these two companies will be amazing,” Adamson said. “Their reputation for service and quality as well as the outstanding individuals who there will make this partnership a significant plus in the marketplace.”
