The Joke’s on Us: April Fools’ Day Pranks Around the RV Industry
Every year, April 1 keeps RV PRO’s editors on their toes — does this press release seem a little too good to be true? Is it a really cool new product or feature, or is something a little … off? Regardless of whether we get duped, it’s always fun to see brands letting their creative sides go wild for a day. Here are a few from April Fools’ Day 2026 that RV PRO enjoyed:
Keystone RV
On its LinkedIn, Keystone RV touted a new feature: “Keystone Wildlife Mode.” Claiming to be available for 2026 and 2027 models, this feature would allow RVers to choose their wildlife experience. “Deer at sunrise. Birds greeting you on the steps. Maybe even a raccoon sighting if you’re feeling adventurous. No waiting. No wondering. Just wildlife, on demand, with new ‘additions’ arriving weekly,” Keystone said. An upgraded “Pro+” version would bring said wildlife inside your RV.

Awaken RV
On its social media, Awaken RV announced a supposed collab with adidas, one that blends adidas’ iconic sneaker design with Awaken’s travel trailers and creates “fully immersive sneaker showrooms.”
“Our vision has always been about pushing boundaries—both in how people travel and how they experience space,” said a spokesperson for AWAKEN RV. “Partnering with adidas allows us to take that philosophy even further by turning our trailers into mobile platforms for inspiration, creativity and access.”

Go RVing
On its social media, Go RVing shared “breaking news” that airlines are now turning to RVs amid recent travel chaos. “With airport delays and TSA lines at an all-time high, major airlines are rolling out a bold new solution—RVs! Travelers can now skip the stress and hit the road in comfort and style, reaching their destinations on their own terms,” Go RVing’s post read.

Chinook RV
Also on LinkedIn, Chinook introduced a “Chinook K9 Co-Pilot Package.” Designed for dogs, the faux new RV package would include a high-tech collar-activated doggy door, a built-in treat dispenser, a beef- or chicken-scented RV interior, windows optimized for squirrel viewing and more puppy perks.

Lippert
Lippert shared on its LinkedIn a “limited time” offering of the Lippert SafeExit Airslide, an inflatable slide for people who don’t want to climb down a ladder off the roof of their RV.

Blue Ox

In a LinkedIn post, Blue Ox alerted followers to some new bovine-esque audio features being added to its Patriot Controller.
“Starting today, you can download a firmware update so when you put your coach in drive, and the brake releases and stages for travel, your controller will release a majestic, and quite loud ‘MOOOOOOOO-ving’ alert. It’s exactly what it sounds like. No bull.”
Dyson
Not RV-related, but for those RVers with pets, perhaps the ones interested in investing in a Chinook K9 Co-Pilot package, Dyson offers a new Dyson Beauty Pet range, with styling products for cats, dogs and even horses. Check it out here on Dyson’s Instagram.

Yahoo!
Again, not strictly RV-related, Yahoo’s purported “Scrōll Stopper” could aid RVers in taking a break from their phones (shared here on Instagram). The thumb ring is designed to make doomscrolling difficult — or even impossible.
