THOR Industries Holds Habitat for Humanity Panel Build

The panel build was held at THOR Industries‘ new corporate headquarters on Independence Court near the RV Hall of Fame, marking the company’s first Habitat panel build hosted at the new facility. More than 30 THOR employees volunteered throughout the day, working together to construct the interior and exterior wall panels for the Ihrig family’s future home on Oregon Avenue in Elkhart.

Ihrig joined THOR volunteers throughout the day, helping build the walls that will soon become her family’s home.

Ihrig entered Habitat’s homeownership program in spring 2024 and has completed more than 200 sweat equity hours while saving for her down payment. As a single mother of two daughters, Nevaeh, 8, and Lexi, 6, she is working toward affordable homeownership, creating a foundation for long-term stability, financial security and future opportunities for her family.

“Thor is honored to be an eight-time build partner with Habitat for Humanity,” said THOR President and CEO Bob Martin. “Helping to support affordable housing for people in our community is one small way in which we can make an impact in the communities where we work, live and play.”
