Throgmartin Bolsters Florida Presence

Throgmartin Holdings has announced the acquisition of three new properties in Florida.

Throgmartin Holdings is a privately held company owned by the Throgmartin family. The family’s holdings include residential and commercial properties, as well as RV companies including Stone Vos, Talin Manufacturing and Talin RV.

The holding company’s commercial and business development arm has purchased two riverfront properties in Live Oak, Fla., as well as an industrial property in Brooksville.

“We recently purchased Suwannee River frontage in Live Oak, Fla.,” said Jason Stafford, executive director of Throgmartin Holdings. “Our plan is to develop several private RV sites on the land. It’s a rare piece of property because the river frontage has sandy beaches. All utilities are installed and we’ll begin land clearing and improvements in late 2021.”

Throgmartin Holdings also purchased a commercial tract of land in Brooksville, Fla., and have begun renovations on the property.

“This industrial property came onto the market and we moved quickly to purchase it because of its location,” Stafford said. “Our plans are to split the property in half and lease part of the property to Vanguard, our new Storage Center company, and the other half to Talin RV, our service company. This land purchase has many benefits for us. It’s one block from our headquarters and will also allow us to move forward on our corporate expansion programs.”

He indicated the build out of the industrial property is already underway with a grand opening date set for Aug. 1. The new Talin RV service center will include offices as well as a parts and accessories store, metal fabrication building, woodshop, and an RV service building. Each RV service bay will have full 50-amp hookups, including water and sewer, with additional hookups for RVs on the lot.

The company said its plans are to begin a search in 2022 for a large tract of land in Florida that will bring all of their companies together and allow room for expansion.
