YakymRepublican Congressman Rudy Yakym, who represents Indiana’s second congressional district including Elkhart, issued the following statement after H.R. 6492, the EXPLORE Act, passed the U.S. House of Representatives by voice vote yesterday. The EXPLORE Act improves Americans’ access to outdoor recreation opportunities by streamlining permitting for improvements on federal lands and expanding management capacity through public-private partnerships.
“We should be doing everything possible to make it easier for Americans to explore our country’s vast natural beauty and enjoy outdoor recreation opportunities, especially through the unique lens of an RV. I applaud members on both sides of the aisle for coming together to support legislation that accomplishes those objectives and will help ensure Indiana’s Second District remains the RV Capital of the World.”
