Alpine/Bridger Teton KOA Holiday Joins KOA Family

Kampgrounds of America (KOA) welcomed the Alpine/Bridger Teton KOA Holiday and its owners, Dennis and Laura Decker to the KOA family of campgrounds. Together with their sons, Josh and Zach and their wives, Tiffani and Madison, the Decker family brings a wealth of outdoor hospitality experience to this new venture.

The family’s journey into the camping industry began with their successful Airstream dealership, Airstream of Wyoming. Recognizing the need for a high-quality camping destination for their campers, they initially opened The Grand Buffalo RV Resort. Their decision to partner with KOA and convert the campground underscores their dedication to delivering exceptional outdoor experiences for campers and families across the country.

Located in the Star Valley of Wyoming, the Alpine/Bridger Teton KOA Holiday offers mountain views and serves as a gateway to some of the region’s most sought-after natural attractions. The campground’s location provides easy access to Bridger-Teton National Forest, Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Jackson Hole and Palisades Reservoir.

“We are excited to elevate the camping experience in Star Valley with KOA,” said Laura and Dennis Decker, owners of the Alpine/Bridger Teton KOA Holiday. “By joining the KOA family, we aim to provide our guests with the highest quality amenities and services, while contributing to the local economy and showcasing the natural beauty of the state of Wyoming.”

Campgrounds have a significant economic and cultural impact on local communities. According to KOA’s annual Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report, campers injected $61 billion into local economies in 2024, with the average camper spending $200 daily while camping. Campers are looking to experience the culture of local regions, with 27% of campers saying they are interested in visiting small towns, and another 27% drawn to food tourism.

KOA Holiday campgrounds are ideal base camps for exploring the area, or simply enjoying a fun-filled stay with plenty of activities. Whether for a longer getaway or an overnight stop, KOA Holiday campgrounds offer amenities and services that make every stay memorable. Each KOA Holiday offers full-service RV Sites with a KOA Patio and Deluxe Cabins with full bathrooms.

The Alpine/Bridger Teton KOA Holiday boasts some of the largest RV sites in the Jackson Hole & Yellowstone ecoregion, complemented by free Wi-Fi throughout the property. The Deckers have ambitious plans for the future, including expanding the campground to 150 sites and adding indoor pickleball courts, hot tubs and a restaurant.

The Alpine/Bridger Teton KOA Holiday is one of more than 500 open-to-the-public KOA campgrounds in the U.S. and Canada. Other brands in the KOA Family of Campgrounds include KOA Journeys, convenient locations after a long day on the road that feature long Pull-thru RV Sites, and easy after-hours check-in. KOA Resorts offer an abundance of staff-led activities, on-site food dining, group meeting space, and more.

Located at 109474 U.S. Highway 89, Etna, Wyoming, the Alpine/Bridger Teton KOA Holiday is open May 1 through Oct. 31.
