Grand Design Adds Momentum MAV to Fifth Wheel Lineup
Grand Design RV announced the all-new Momentum MAV fifth wheel toy hauler lineup, bringing the MAV concept to the fifth wheel segment for the first time. Designed for outdoor enthusiasts who want the space and versatility of a fifth wheel toy hauler without the weight, complexity and cost traditionally associated with the category, the new lineup includes three floorplans: the 270MAV, 340MAV and 390MAV.

The Momentum MAV fifth wheels bring a fresh approach to toy hauler versatility, Grand Design said, with spacious 13- to 16-foot garages and thoughtfully designed floorplans. Select models incorporate a single-slide configuration that simplifies the design while helping make MAV accessible to a wider range of tow vehicles.
“With Momentum MAV, we saw an opportunity to create something that didn’t really exist in the market today,” said Chase Booth, product manager for the Momentum line at Grand Design. “Customers love the towing characteristics, storage and livability of a fifth wheel, but many don’t want to move into a larger truck or a more complex RV. MAV gives them a lighter, more approachable way to enjoy the toy hauler lifestyle.”
The flexible garage space can accommodate toys and outdoor gear or serve as an office, second bedroom or additional living space. Standard and available features include large tank capacities, king beds, pass-through storage, smart TVs, washer/dryer prep and leading Grand Design warranty coverage.
“The introduction of MAV into the fifth wheel category reflects a broader shift toward right-sized RVing,” said Rob Groover, general manager of Solitude, Momentum and Influence.
“Customers want versatile products that fit the way they actually camp and travel.
Momentum MAV delivers the capability and space they expect from a fifth wheel toy hauler in a package that makes ownership accessible to more buyers.”
The new Momentum MAV fifth wheel models are expected to arrive at Grand Design dealers nationwide later this year, the company said.
