Sika Corp., a supplier of advanced adhesive and sealant solutions, recently introduced Sikaflex-268 PowerCure, an accelerated one-component polyurethane adhesive and sealant, specifically designed for the transportation market for vehicle glass and assembly applications.
Sikaflex-268 PowerCure has weathering resistance and resistivity against a wide variety of cleaning agents, especially those used in the rail industry. The product is applied using the PowerCure dispenser and cures largely independent from atmospheric conditions to form a durable elastomer.
Sikaflex-268 PowerCure is suitable for bonding and sealing, can be used for exterior joints and is solvent and PVC free.
“Sikaflex-268 PowerCure not only delivers fast curing time, it also allows for a long working time followed by fast strength build up,” said Mark Daniels, VP of industry transportation and appliance and components. “This allows for versatility for our customers in terms of climatic conditions, application speeds and application locations.”
