Meaco Enters U.S. Market with RV Dehumidifier
U.K.-based Meaco, a manufacturer of dehumidifiers, is entering the North American market with three desiccant dehumidifiers. The Meaco DD8L an ideal dehumidifier to have on hand in an RV, according to the company, as it is stored during winter or even over the summer, preventing the build-up of moisture. This helps ensure the RV doesn’t get a musty smell, do damage to your soft surfaces, or do other damage to interior RV spaces.
After several years of feedback from customers, Meaco recently launched the Meaco DD8L Zambezi dehumidifier, which functions well at all temperatures.
One features on the DDL Zambezi includes the daily run timer that allows the ability to turn the dehumidifier on and off at particular times, taking advantage of off-peak electricity hours. Another feature RV owners requested is for the water to be drained away continuously and auto-restart in the correct mode if there is a power cut. The Zambezi will drain straight into a sink via a hose, and if there is a power cut it will turn itself back on and start working again on the correct setting when the power is restored. The humidistat helps ensure that it does not over dry and conserves energy.
“Every day we have people who call us to say that they are suffering from mould or musty smells and want protection over winter,” said Chris Michael, director of Meaco. “Zambezi can do that easily and has the added advantage of adding some warmth to the air, which is also helpful during the winter months while you are storing your RV.”
