RVWA Touts Lifetime Achievement Award Finalists

During the RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA) Educational Symposium, the alliance will recognize the Trailblazers of the RV Industry at an Awards Dinner taking place Thursday, Oct. 17.

The RV Women’s Alliance Trailblazer Award For Lifetime Achievement recognizes women who have made significant contributions to the RV industry’s advancement while also paving the way for other women to follow in her path. The RV Women’s Alliance’s highest honor, the Trailblazer Award For Lifetime Achievement is presented annually to an RV Women’s Alliance individual member.

“The RV industry wouldn’t be where it is today without the pioneering women I’ve seen paving the way throughout my 30-plus year career,” said RV Women’s Alliance President Susan Carpenter. “Their impact is immeasurable, and it’s an honor to recognize the lifetime achievements of these inspiring women who’ve blazed a trail for others to follow.”

After careful review of the many applications, the award selection committee has narrowed down the award nominations to the following four finalists:

Cammy Pierson, president (retired), Curtis Trailer

Cammy Pierson, a respected leader in the RV industry, has consistently championed the advancement of women in the field. Throughout her career, she has served in various leadership roles within industry organizations including Chair of the RV Dealers Association Board, while also spearheading initiatives such as the Curtis Heritage Education Center. Cammy’s advocacy for women is particularly noteworthy. Her strong presence and support for aspiring female leaders have left a lasting impact. The appointment of Karra Blair as CEO of Curtis Trailers exemplifies Cammy’s legacy of empowering women within the RV industry. Even in retirement, her influence continues to inspire and encourage women across the field.

Jennifer Zachary, president and co-owner, Transport US

Jenni Zachary is a highly active and influential member of the RV community, involved in multiple organizations. She is a key figure in tort reform legislation in Indiana and has built a coalition against RV theft, connecting manufacturers, suppliers, and transportation companies. Jenni fosters an open, supportive environment for her staff, offering mentorship and ensuring their success. She encourages personal growth, invites experts to her office for staff support, and exemplifies leadership by providing opportunities like attending the Global Leadership Summit. Jenni’s compassionate leadership, particularly towards working mothers, sets her apart as a true trailblazer.

Lori Severson, a driving force in the Wisconsin camping industry, wears multiple hats as the executive director of Wisconsin Association of Campground Owners (WACO), owner of Campground Owners Expo (COE), and a campground owner herself. She tirelessly advocates for industry members, working with legislators, vendors, and state departments to facilitate positive change. Lori’s dedication extends to empowering women in the field, offering guidance, referrals, and support to aspiring “girl bosses.” She fosters an environment for growth and success, shaping countless individuals into capable campground owners, managers, and businesswomen. Her contributions make her an invaluable asset to the industry.

Stacy Setty is a highly respected figure in the RV industry, having worked her way up from the ground floor to Director of Sales. She has extensive experience developing products, training colleagues, and building strong relationships within the industry. Stacy is known for her dedication, mentorship, and advocacy for women in the RV industry. She actively participates in industry events and continually seeks opportunities to learn and grow. Stacy’s passion for the RV industry and her commitment to supporting others make her a true trailblazer and role model.

The awards ceremony will take place Oct. 17 at The Westin Chicago, North Shore. Tickets for the entire Educational Symposium or just the Awards Dinner are still available.
