Lippert recently joined forces with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a national nonprofit dedicated to providing beds to children in need, to host a community Bed Build at Lippert’s Tinley Park, Illinois, distribution center.

In May, nearly 100 Lippert team members, friends, family and community members took part in a community Bed Build event organized in conjunction with the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Oak Forest, chapter. The six-hour event saw volunteers of all skill levels come together to build and assemble close to 40 bunk beds that were then delivered to children in crisis throughout the southern Chicago suburbs. To further the Sleep in Heavenly Peace motto “No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town”, Lippert also donated 50 of its Somnum COMFORTfoamz mattresses to the cause.

“I am thrilled that our company was able to provide much-needed support to an organization that is making a real difference in the lives of children,” said Michilah Grimes, director of corporate and community Impact at Lippert. “A good night’s sleep is so important for a child’s physical and emotional well-being, and we are blessed to provide not only the space and labor it takes to build these beds but also the mattresses to go with them. These children deserve a comfortable place to rest their heads at night. Sleep in Heavenly Peace does an incredible job of making sure they have that, and we are honored to be able to contribute to that goal in a meaningful way.”

Lippert provides mattresses not just to the RV industry but also hospitality, trucking and higher education.
