Over the past year, EarthCruiser has been evolving how its vehicle platforms come to life. Rather than operating a single factory, EarthCruiser is now working alongside a growing Builder Network made up of experienced expedition vehicle builders across North America, the company said.
Last month, the company shared about its Expedition Super Store, whose team brings decades of practical travel and off-road vehicle experience. Builders like the crew at Expedition Super Store understand not just how to assemble components, but why expedition vehicles need to be designed the way they are — it is a system, not a jumble of mismatched components.
Another of EarthCruiser’s collaborations is with Overland Van Project (OVP) in Portland, Oregon.
“Their team is now beginning work on EarthCruiser CORE chassis conversions based on the Isuzu NPR platform. The CORE 4×4 upfit is the foundation of the iconic EarthCruiser EXP, and we’re looking forward to sharing more of those builds in the near future,” the company said. “One of the many things we value about working with OVP is the experience their highly skilled professionals bring from designing and building across a range of platforms — their knowledge runs deep.”

EarthCruiser EXP Builds
With CORE production underway, the company said it’s preparing for the next round of EarthCruiser EXP builds through its builder partners.
“From the beginning, the EXP platform was designed around the travel experience itself — not simply placing a square box on the back of a truck. One of the original design criteria we had when starting the company EarthCruiser had was to fit inside a standard shipping container, allowing us to move between continents and continue our travels around the world.
That single must-have shaped many of the design decisions that made the EXP what it is today.
