Forest River Boasts Crusader Share Growth

Forest River recently announced that the Prime Time Mfg. Crusader fifth wheel line has gained more than 18 percent in retail sales volume in the U.S. through August, according to Statistical Surveys.

“From the beginning, Prime Time has focused on delivering a fifth wheel lineup that looks great aesthetically with lots of features customers love,” said Paul Morrison, Crusader product manager. “More importantly, though, our business model is extremely dealer-centric and we’ve made sure to remain a company that our dealers appreciate doing business with.”

According to Morrison, the Crusader Lite lineup has been a key area of growth for Prime Time.

The lightweight products are only one portion of Crusader’s growth. Crusader is also the fastest growing mainstream fifth wheel brand in the industry in the $35,000 to $45,000 retail price category, up more than 57 percent in the U.S., according to Statistical Surveys.

“In our flagship Crusader line, we’ve added some really impressive features to complement our redesigned contemporary interiors,” said Morrison. “MORryde ‘Zero Gravity’ entry steps and Furrion’s residential cooktop and oven highlight the numerous of improvements we’ve recently made to the product.”
