Freightliner Custom Chassis Celebrates 25 Years
Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp., a part of the family of companies founded by Gottlieb Daimler that shares the heritage and engineering excellence of Freightliner and Mercedes-Benz, is celebrating 25 years this year of creating world-class chassis in use in the RV, walk-in van, commercial bus and school bus industries.
Founded in 1995 and located in Gaffney, S.C., FCCC employs more than 650 in its manufacturing, customer support and retail facilities. As the world’s largest manufacturer of diesel walk-in van chassis, nearly two-thirds of all diesel walk-in van chassis sold today are made by FCCC. The company also claims more than half the market in Class A diesel motorhome chassis and more than a quarter of the market in conventional school bus chassis.
