Grand Design RV Details $10 Million Expansion Plan

Grand Design RV recently is planning more than $10 million in expansion to its infrastructure.

Grand Design RV continues to experience unprecedented growth with more than 1,200 employees and production of more than 40,000 units. Current expansion plans include the construction of two new state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, as well as expansions to current manufacturing plants.

“Grand Design RV has been blessed with record-breaking retail orders in all GDRV brands. In order to keep up with the growing demand of our products we need to expand our north and south campuses,” said Don Clark, president and CEO of Grand Design. “The addition of these new facilities, along with planned expansions, will allow us to increase our manufacturing capacity, expand our product offering and create more jobs in Elkhart County and Northern Indiana.”

Target completion date for this project is spring 2018.

Nuway Construction, a design/build general contractor, located in Goshen, Ind., was selected for the project.

“We are excited to once again partner with Grand Design and look forward to helping them meet the escalating demand for their products,” said Randy Huffman, president of Nuway Construction. “It is very rare to see a company grow at the incredible rate Grand Design has and we are proud to play a small role in this very special company’s accomplishments.”

“We’ve experienced tremendous growth in our first five years,” added Clark, “and none of it would have been possible without the outstanding support of our dedicated team members, industry’s best dealer network, suppliers and especially our loyal retail customers. Thank you all for your trust in Grand Design and growing with us.”
