Jacksonville Fall RV Show Moves Location

The Northeast Florida Chapter of the Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) will host its annual Fall RV Show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Thursday, Oct. 11 to Sunday, Oct. 14. The show has moved to the Morocco Shrine Auditorium, located at 3800 St. Johns Bluff Road South in Jacksonville.

Hundreds of 2018 and the newest 2019 models of RVs will be on display at the four-day event. Participating dealers include Campers Inn RV of Jacksonville, Creative RV, Dick Gore’s RV World, General RV Center of Orange Park and Ocean Grove RV Supercenter of St. Augustine.

“After having to cancel our last two fall shows due to hurricanes Matthew and Irma, and the need to use the St. Johns County Fairgrounds for storm recovery, we determined it was best to move this year to a new location,” said FRVTA Northeast Region President Ken Loyd. “While we’re not sure what the impact of moving to a new location will have on attendance, we believe the traffic will be there … especially given the great year the RV industry is having.”

According to the latest figures from the RV Industry Association, RV shipments in July were more than 36,000, a 10 percent increase compared to 2017, with total RV sales expected to break records this year.

Also, Florida is the third-highest state when it comes to RV shipments – behind only Texas and California – with the RV industry representing a total economic impact of $966 million in the state.

A disc jockey will provide entertainment, and guests will have the chance to win a $250 American Express Gift Card each day during the event.

The regular admission price is $5 and children 12 and under admitted free. Seniors will receive a $2 discount on the opening day of the show, Thursday, Oct. 11 – with military and first-responders receiving a $2 discount each day of the show. Parking is free at the venue.
