ORVA 2019 State Convention to Focus on ‘Vision’
The Oklahoma RV Association (ORVA) will hold its 2018 State Convention June 10-11 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Catoosa, Okla.
The theme for the convention is “Building on New Visions,” and attendees will receive a special theme-related package provided by Diversified Insurance Management to help motivate their plans for 2019.
The convention opens Sunday with a member golf tournament followed by a welcome reception at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Monday will start the educational segment of the convention which will address current affairs and changes affecting the RV industry as presented by some of the RV industry’s top speakers such as Phil Ingrassia, Jay Landers, Mike Palicz, Scott Stropkai, Doug Deter, Michael Rees and Mike Nicholes.
Nicholes will present a special two-hour workshop called, “How to Make Your Parts Store More Profitable,” and will include a 19-page handout for all dealers to take back and apply in their stores.
The group will also hear from Michael Rees who is presenting, “How to Increase Margins,” which teach dealers how to increase their margins while simultaneously increasing volume and customer satisfaction.
Also, due to the re-entering of the Oklahoma Lemon Law issue in 2018, Oklahoma State House Bill 3050, ORVA, with help from RVIA and RVDA, was successful in stopping the bill in its tracks before ever going before the house committee. There will be a follow-up panel discussion on Monday for the group with Roy Dockum, executive director of Oklahoma Motor Vehicle Commission, Jay Landers, RVIA’s VP of government affairs, Mike Palicz, RVIA’s manager of government affairs, and Phil Ingrassia, president of RVDA.
