2026 RV PRO RVeterans Honoree Jeff Redmond

Owner & General Manager, Bucars RV Centre, 37 years in the industry

Some dealership owners manage operations from behind a desk. Jeff Redmond builds culture from the showroom floor. Whether he is brainstorming ideas with his leadership team, greeting customers or pushing Bucars RV Centre toward its next innovation, Jeff leads with energy, vision and hands-on involvement.

As owner and general manager of Bucars RV Centre, Jeff oversees sales and marketing strategy, financial performance and inventory management. But he views his most important responsibility as being the dealership’s unofficial “corporate culture officer.” He plays an active role in employee engagement, serves on the social committee, connects with team members and oversees the company’s “Values Champ” employee recognition program.

He stays involved in the day-to-day business, regularly stepping in to support employees during busy periods and interacting directly with customers on the showroom floor. He blends strategic thinking with accessibility to define the culture and customer experience that set Bucars RV apart.

Jeff looks for creative ways to grow the business and improve operations. He embraces a grassroots leadership style that brings management teams together for energetic brainstorming sessions and encourages innovation across the organization. Whether evaluating acquisitions, exploring manufacturer partnerships or expanding internal programs, Jeff continually pushes the dealership to think bigger.

His decades of experience in the RV industry provide a deep understanding of market trends, customer expectations and operational best practices. Through active involvement in organizations such as Go RVing, RV Care and RVDA, Jeff stays connected to the pulse of the industry across Canada and North America.

As Bucars RV’s self-appointed “AI Captain,” Jeff encourages employees to explore emerging technologies and tools that improve efficiency, customer service and productivity. His direction has accelerated the dealership’s digital transformation while fostering a culture that embraces change.

Jeff’s roots in the RV industry run deep. He learned the business from his father, Bill Redmond, an RV/MH Hall of Fame inductee, and he worked his way through every part of the organization. Alongside his brother, Kyle, he was honored as Canadian RV Dealer of the Year, and under his guidance, Bucars RV has earned multiple Top 50 Dealer Awards.

What it means to Jeff to work in the RV industry this long:

It’s been a privilege. The RV business is really a people business dressed up as a product business. Over the years I’ve had the chance to sell to thousands of customers who went on to make memories with their families that you can’t replicate anywhere else. The campfire does something for people that no hotel or resort ever will, and being part of getting them there is hard to beat.

The other half is the people and relationships. Staff, suppliers, manufacturers, other dealers. The relationships you build over decades in this industry turn into real friendships. Through good years and tough ones, those are the people who keep you in it.

Jeff’s advice for younger people just starting their careers:

Spend time behind the service counter. That’s where you find out what’s actually going on, both with your customers and inside your own dealership. Stay scrappy, stay humble, and do what you say you’ll do. If you’re lucky enough to stick around in this industry for the long haul, the relationships and the reputation you build along the way will pay back many times over. Don’t take yourself too seriously, and have fun!
