Coshocton KOA Holiday Owners Win Franchisee Excellence Award

Kampgrounds of America (KOA) announced that the Coshocton KOA Holiday, owned and operated by Ryan and Camille McPeek, has been recognized with the 2026 Franchisee Excellence Award from Franchise Business Review, a leading independent franchise research firm. The recognition celebrates franchise owners who consistently set the standard for operational excellence, financial performance and brand leadership across the franchise industry.

“Franchisees are the backbone of every successful franchise system, and the Franchisee Excellence Awards recognize those who truly elevate their brands through leadership, performance, and integrity,” said Eric Stites, founder and CEO of Franchise Business Review. “These award winners are not only high achievers, they are role models. Their commitment to excellence, their teams and their communities is what drives long-term success in franchising.”

For more than 20 years, Franchise Business Review has been an independent franchise market research firm known for awards and rankings. The Coshocton KOA Holiday was selected from hundreds of nominations submitted by franchise brands that participate in Franchise Business Review’s satisfaction research. The McPeeks were recognized for their success in:

  • Maintaining a 90+ Net Promoter Score (NPS), a widely used metric measuring customer loyalty, satisfaction, and perceived brand value based on one question: “How likely is it that you would recommend (product or service) to a friend or colleague?” NPS is scaled on a -100 to +100 basis.
  • Increasing their net registration revenue by over 60%.
  • Continually improving operations and guest experience at their campground. The McPeeks recently added new pull-thru RV sites, safari-style glamping tents, and premier cabins.

“Ryan and Camille represent the very best of KOA,” said Toby O’Rourke, KOA’s president and CEO. “Their entrepreneurial drive, deep commitment to their community and campers, and innovative approach to running their business reflect the core values that define our brand. They lead with passion, put families and customers first, and continually look for new ways to elevate the camping experience. We are proud to have them as part of the KOA family; their positive impact is felt by campers and fellow franchisees alike.”

The award highlights the strength of KOA’s franchise system and its commitment to supporting entrepreneurial campground owners nationwide, KOA said. Located in central Ohio, Coshocton KOA Holiday has earned a strong reputation for creating memorable guest experiences and continually evolving its offerings for both campers and the local community. The McPeeks have previously been recognized within the KOA system, including being named KOA’s 2023 Rising Star.

“We’re honored to receive the Franchisee Excellence Award,” said Ryan and Camille McPeek. “The KOA campground owner life can be so fulfilling. We make meaningful connections in our work every day. These connections are with our customers, our team, our community, our industry peers and the KOA Home Office team, who are supporting and building us up. Being part of the KOA franchise has put us in a strong and confident position through the decade we have been partnered. The enriching connections we have made through this journey have helped us create a vision for our campground.”
