2026 RV PRO RVeterans Honoree Jeremy Johnson

Associate Director — OEM Business Development, Lightspeed, 26 years in the industry

At industry events, colleagues joke that Jeremy Johnson is the “Norm” of the RV world. It’s impossible for him to cross a trade show floor without someone stopping to say hello. After over 26 years in the RV world, Jeremy has built a reputation for growing business and building relationships that strengthen the RV community.

As associate director of OEM business development at Lightspeed, this seasoned professional works at the intersection of technology, dealerships and OEM partnerships. He connects OEM systems with dealership operations to improve workflows, reduce manual processes and create greater efficiency. Because he works cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners, Jeremy plays a key role in advancing technology solutions that help dealerships grow and operate more effectively.

But his impact reaches beyond his day-to-day responsibilities.

Jeremy is an active leader and industry advocate, serving on committees including the RVDA Convention/Expo Committee, RVIA Emerging Leaders Coalition, Market Information Committee and Supplier Committee. Whether traveling to Washington, D.C., to advocate for the industry, attending dealer events or participating in OEM open houses, he takes time to better understand the needs of dealers, manufacturers and partners.

He also contributes thought leadership content for Lightspeed and industry publications, sharing insights that help businesses adapt and improve. His personal philosophy is simple: leave every place better than you found it.

Jeremy has deep industry knowledge and strong partnerships that directly benefit Lightspeed, and its customers and partners. He leads the way in bringing software integrations and operational innovations into the RV space, bringing ideas and best practices from the powersports market into the RV space.

Colleagues describe Jeremy as generous with his time, always willing to provide guidance, introductions, encouragement or practical advice. He creates opportunities for others through speaking engagements, networking connections and professional development opportunities.

Known throughout the industry as Jeremy, JJ or JRock, Jeremy has built a reputation for authenticity, positivity and service. He combines personality with performance, earning recognition such as the President’s Club while remaining the type of person others know they can call on whenever they need help.

What it means to Jeremy to work in the RV industry this long:

This is such a tight-knit community with so many great people working across the various OEMs, distributors, associations and partners throughout the industry. RVing gives people a chance to unwind, relax and step away from all the outside noise going on around them.

It’s been awesome to see so many passionate people continuing to work hard to build better products and help keep all the amazing places and experiences accessible for families and travelers to explore.

Jeremy’s advice for younger people just starting their careers:

Find something you are passionate about first. Sure, we all want to make as much money as possible, but waking up in the morning excited and energized about what you do is what really matters. Also, work on maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Work will always be there, so make sure to disconnect from time to time and pay attention to what’s happening around you. And don’t be afraid to take risks. It’s your story to write, so make it a good one.
