Banks Power Offers New Tuner
Banks Power recently introduced a new L5P tuner to its Derringer line that utilizes OBD-II data. It has a horsepower gain of 61 and a torque gain of 112 pound-feet. The plug-and-play microcomputer control module is waterproof for under-the-hood mounting.
Features include Banks AutoRate which reads the vehicle’s RPM, speed, gear, exhaust gas temperature, coolant temp and more off of the OBD-II diagnostics port.
Banks’ TransCommand helps prevent slippage, while ActiveSafety adds a layer of protection with its self-monitoring hardware and software that provides an automatic bypass should the unit lose power or a sensor malfunction.
Derringer L5P features:
- Three on-the-fly power levels (six when combined with iDash 1.8)
- Banks AutoRate, Banks TransCommand, and Banks ActiveSafety help ensure safe power to engine and drivetrain
- Connectivity to other Banks devices, including iDash 1.8
