National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) announced the addition of Craig Ramon to its instructional team as an approved instructor for the RV Service Technician, Advanced RV Service Technician and Advanced Generator Technician programs.
Ramon brings a unique combination of technical expertise, operational leadership and real-world field experience to the classroom. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences and is a 2025 graduate of NRVTA’s Advanced RV Service Technician and Advanced Generator Technician programs. He also holds RVTAA Certified RV Service Technician and Certified Generator Technician credentials.
In addition to his instructional responsibilities, Ramon currently serves as a technical assistant at NRVTA and is the owner/operator of Home on the Road Ventures where he manages RV repair, maintenance, rentals and fleet operations.
Before entering the RV industry full time, Ramon served nearly 25 years as a fire chief, building a career centered on leadership, problem-solving, safety and mentoring others. His background in emergency services and technical operations provides students with practical insight into troubleshooting, diagnostics and professional service standards.

NRVTA’s hands-on training model is designed to prepare students for careers in RV service, diagnostics and technical operations through practical instruction and lab-based learning, NRVTA said. The academy’s programs emphasize real-world troubleshooting and technical skill development in a live training environment.
The Advanced Generator Technician program focuses on hands-on skills and training related to generator installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting and maintenance for RV systems.
