RVDA Con/Expo Touts Expanded Fixed Ops Day Lineup

The 2026 RV Dealers Convention/Expo will feature an enhanced Fixed Operations Day designed to deliver practical strategies for service management, parts and warranty teams on Thursday, Nov. 12. The convention/expo is set for Nov. 9-13 at Paris Las Vegas.

“Front-line fixed operations teams drive customer satisfaction and dealership profitability,” said RVDA President Phil Ingrassia. “Fixed Operations Day is an ideal way to provide these key employees the tools and insights they need to strengthen processes, improve communication and deliver a better experience for RV owners.”

Fixed Operations Day puts the spotlight on the people and departments that keep dealerships moving. With sessions tackling real-world challenges including service efficiency, technician retention, parts profitability, customer communication and workforce development, Thursday’s programming is designed specifically for fixed operations professionals looking for new ideas they can put to work as soon as they return to the dealership.

The 2026 Fixed Operations Day program includes:

  • From Check-In to Cash Flow: Fixing the Hidden Gaps in RV Service Operations – Rob Cochran
Most RV service departments focus on improving technician efficiency and shop throughput, but many of the biggest delays and lost revenue opportunities begin before the first repair order is ever opened. This session explores how gaps in intake and inspection processes lead to longer repair cycle times, warranty challenges, rework and miscommunication between departments. Attendees will see how inconsistent documentation at check-in creates downstream issues that impact the entire service operation.
  • Why Your Best Technicians Are Leaving, Why Pizza Won’t Fix It, and What Actually Will – Sara Clements-Hey
This workshop provides service management leaders a practical roadmap for transforming their department into a true profit center. Attendees will learn how to build a three‑tier efficiency‑based bonus plan already used successfully in thousands of shops, turning technicians into invested profit partners rather than hourly clock‑watchers.
  • Amazon Isn’t Your Problem: Your Parts Strategy Is – Sara Clements-Hey
In this session, Sara Clements-Hey walks dealers through the parts strategy that actually works in the Amazon era. Stop fighting the fight you’re going to lose. Start winning the one your parts department is built to win. Every attendee leaves with the Parts Department Self-Assessment, an 18-item diagnostic that scores the parts department on a 90-point scale to learn where to focus first before returning to the dealership.
  • Turning Fixed Operations Into a Profit Center: Practical Strategies to Improve RV Service Performance, Customer Experience, Staff Retention – Jerry Weldon
This session will give RV dealers a practical roadmap for improving fixed operations performance by focusing on three critical areas: profitability, customer communication, and team development. Attendees will learn how to identify profit leaks in service and parts, improve the customer experience through better advisor communication and build a stronger process for recruiting, training, and retaining technicians and fixed operations staff. Using real-world dealership consulting examples, this session will move beyond theory and provide actionable strategies that RV dealers can immediately take back to their stores.
  • Future-Proofing Your Service Department: Building and Retaining the Next Generation of Technicians – Jordon Schoolmeester
In this session, Jordon Schoolmeester shares a practical roadmap for creating a sustainable service workforce. Attendees will learn how to develop entry-level employees into skilled technicians through structured training and mentorship, transition experienced techs into leadership roles, and implement compensation and pricing strategies that drive year-round performance.

Fixed Operations Day also offers added value for RV Learning Center certificants, with select sessions eligible for continuing education units (CEUs) toward recertification. For certified professionals working to maintain their credential, the day is an opportunity to build new skills, connect with industry peers and make progress toward recertification at the same time.

In addition to the dedicated education and Vendor Training +Plus sessions, fixed operations professionals can register at a special fee of $389. Attendees will have access to the full Convention/Expo schedule on Thursday, including the Expo Hall.

The RV Dealers Convention/Expo, presented by RVDA U.S., RVDA of Canada and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center, is the industry’s premier education and networking event, bringing together dealers from across North America for four days of training, business development and peer‑to‑peer learning.

Dealers can register and receive program updates, including detailed session descriptions and speaker announcements at rvdaexpo.com.
