RVeterans: Katie Lentine
VP Sales Administration, United States Warranty Corporation, 29 years in the industry
Katie Lentine started working with United States Warranty Corporation (USWC) in February of 1995 as a bookkeeper. Soon, Katie’s work at USWC — which provides comprehensive service contracts for recreational vehicles, motorhomes and more — became much more than a job. She fell in love with the RV industry. Now, 29 years later, she’s still with the company and hasn’t looked back.
Throughout her first 10 years at USWC, Katie worked in various roles at the company. She worked in underwriting and served as a claims adjuster. Once she landed in sales, she knew she’d found her niche. She currently serves as vice president of sales administration.
Because Katie has worn many different hats during her time at USWC, she has a wealth of knowledge to draw from when she’s training new employees, building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, or working on client retention and loyalty. When the company launches new programs or growth initiatives, Katie takes a boots-on-the-ground approach so she can help guide others.
Despite being a busy single mom of three, Katie is always willing to fill in the gap when colleagues are on vacation or tied up with other projects. Her colleagues also know she’s the one to go to for help with spreadsheets and slide decks, as well as net and retail rates and contract language.
Katie says that when the company faces obstacles, this just brings the team closer together.
“It really is a true family environment,” she says of the company. “We push each other to do our best, guide each other when needed and support each other in challenging personal and professional times.”
What keeps Katie in the RV industry? It’s the people.
“We are in the relationship business,” she says. “I have met many wonderful people throughout my years, forming true bonds with the entire community, from the customer, dealer and outside sales representatives. These people have bestowed upon me their knowledge and love for the outdoors that has fostered my love for this industry.”
