2025 RV PRO RVeterans Honoree KC Gibler

General Manager, Interstate RV Metal and Supply, 48 years in the industry

Because of the dynamics of a small company, it’s hard to define responsibilities. KC functions as parts, order desk, customer service, fabrication, AR, HR and so much more.

In what ways has KC gone above and beyond for Interstate RV Metal and Supply?

KC has dedicated almost 50 years to Interstate RV Metal. Going above and beyond has been a daily pattern, her nominator says, whether it was during her years in the shop fabricating siding for Northern Lite and Pastime Campers or her time in the office, building relationships with our customers. KC has facilitated trust and loyalty with our customers by being honest, caring and transparent at every turn in her career.

How does KC’s tenure and experience contribute to Interstate RV Metal and Supply?

KC’s knowledge is invaluable. She’s an encyclopedia of information on RV siding patterns, colors and sizes in both fiberglass and aluminum. “Having the experience from years’ past has given us such a solid foundation of how to move forward with the way the company produces its material,” her nominator says.

How does KC mentor or support other employees?

KC is always supportive, always lending knowledge and is eager to help when the occasion arises. Personal lives tend to blend together when you spend so much time with a small group of people, and her nominator says she is fortunate to call KC a friend and mentor. Her values are contagious, and she has left her mark both on Interstate and the company’s employees, as well as the RV industry itself.

What has it meant to work in the RV industry this long?

Interstate RV Metal opened in Oregon in 1975. I started working with the company in 1977, fresh out of high school. I have grown up in this industry and have loved it! Not only have I been working in the office, I spent many years working in the shop, running machines and processing orders. What I like the most of all my years is that I’m a people person. My tenure at the company has given me the opportunity to work with so many great people and make many friends along way. I enjoy hearing about all the adventures our customers have taken and what units they have purchased.

What advice do you have for younger people just starting their careers?

Keep an open mind and learn as much as possible. Whether you’re in parts, service or repair, there is so much to learn. The more knowledge you have, the further you can go. One of my first bosses told me, treat people the way you would want to be treated. This statement has followed me through my career and into my personal life as well.
