Ranger Distribution (RDI) is once again hosting its annual Giving Without Expectation event, an invitation-only evening dedicated to encouraging and investing in local industry partners and employees through meaningful conversation and personal development, Ranger Distribution said in a recent release.
The event will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Ranger Distribution’s headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from this year’s featured speaker, Dr. Samuel Grewe, followed by an interactive Q&A session.
Each year, RDI brings nationally recognized motivational speakers to the community to equip professionals with actionable life and business insights, the company said. Previous keynote speakers have included Alex Sheen, Dave Anderson, and Robb Zbierski.
This year’s speaker, Samuel Grewe, brings an inspiring story of perseverance, resilience, and purpose. Born and raised in Middlebury, Indiana, Grewe was diagnosed with osteosarcoma on Christmas Eve in 2011 at the age of 13.
Grewe’s journey began with a cancer diagnosis that launched him into two years of chemotherapy and a life-altering decision: choose amputation over preserving his leg in hopes of one day returning to sports. That decision ultimately led him to Paralympic high jump, where he represented Team USA at three Paralympic Games, earning a silver medal in Rio and a gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics. He is also a three-time World Champion in the high jump.
Beyond athletics, Grewe pursued a career in medicine, graduating from the University of Michigan Medical School and now training in a Harvard-affiliated residency program in Boston.
Today, he inspires audiences nationwide as a motivational speaker and TED Talk presenter, Ranger Distribution said. His story is a powerful reminder that the human spirit is not measured by how hard you get knocked down, but by the unrelenting will to rise.
